By treating the root of the problem a better longer lasting result is achieved, leading to longer lasting health & well-being.

Who Can Benefit From TCM?

With thousands of years of accumulated clinical experience, Chinese Medicine is useful for helping the health of practically everyone. We treat all ages, from newborns to the elderly.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine, sterile pins into specific points along the meridians of the body. Stimulating these points encourages the normal flow of energy through the body and helps the restore health. It is one of the oldest and most commonly used medical procedures in the world and has been used for thousands of years to treat a range of health conditions and ailments. We have been providing expert acupuncture in Ivanhoe for over 15 years now. We treat patients for a wide variety of conditions including back pain, headaches and migraines as well as many different health issues.

One of our special areas of interest is using Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to help people with anxiety and stress issues. If you suffer from anxiety, stress or have ongoing mental health issues, we would love you to experience the relief that the Chinese Medicine holistic approach can offer.

Why Doesn’t Our Acupuncture Hurt?

Because the pins are so fine, and our practitioners are so skilled, you barely feel anything. We even treat babies and children with acupuncture.

Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture for Kids

We do treat many babies and children in our clinic for various issues. Children tend to respond quickly to Chinese Medicine treatment, whether through specific massage, herbs or using specific dietary and lifestyle advice. Acupuncture for children can be useful if the child is open to it, and they are usually surprised at how little discomfort they feel. They often say “Is that it?!” or sometimes don’t even realise the acupuncture has been done! With acupuncture for kids the needles do not need to be left in as with an adult, so they are not required to lie still for a long time.

What to Expect During a Treatment

First and foremost, your treatment will always include a thorough and careful examination of your health. This includes an in-depth inquiry into your diet, emotions and wellbeing. We will then observe your outward appearance and also examine you tongue and pulse to help us gain an understanding of your state of health. After this, we will discuss with you the best treatment options.
